haiz..whatabummer...! got no school until Monday, so yesterday nite, i planned to go help out at Mom's stall this morning..so when Shuhui called and asked did i want to go Sch lib with her tomorrow to surf the Net, i said no,sorry, bla bla..

and she saiD she's going, anyway, for a while around 9-ish. AND THEN, i decided this morning not to go with Mom but just pop in at the sch lib to surprise her. but hey, here i am..it's 11.49 and she ain't here.

called her 'bout an hour aGo and her dad said she was sleeping. maybe she cancelled lah. which makes it PADAN MUKA AKU for not telling her earlier i'll be coming..haha.

what to do? not my day, perhaps. not that i'm still waiting for her to arrive any moment now. figured that while i'm here,i'll just hang around a while longER..

oh yeah...me and the girls went to the muziumtamadunasia yesterday afternoon. stepping into the museum itself was quite an experience. i mean, when was the last time i visited a museum? anyway$...the Ottoman empire exhibits were awesome. it was really super duper eye-opener COOL. there were lotsa beautiful beautiful Qurans dating back to 15-18 centuries, everyday utensils the sultans used in those times..like tortoise-shell spoons studded with what, diamonds n rubies...stunning gowns n robes...headgears with feathers and an ancient, gigantic emerald n the middle and diamonds around...!

also, the best thing was, there were fascinating stuff like the dazzling jewel-studded container that Rasullah s.a.w kept his janggut in, a piece of the cloth they used to cover the Kaabah...and much more. interesting, everything was. v v interesting.

every Muslim should go see this exhibition, man. a priceless insight into the glory days of the Uthmaniyah( Ottoman ) Empire...to think that my SS textbook portrayed them in such a negative light...

yesterday morning, my brOs and and that irritating Izzat from next door suddenly came over
and they started whipping out their stupid, ludicrously colourful Beyblades and playing noisily.
and then, there i was in the kitcHen...trying to jam my breakfast/brunch/dinner
down my throat and just watching the Boys

and suddenly i'm thinking...
this thing is gasing, for God's sake. it's bloody gasing ...hell, it's less fun than gasing!
i look at the boy$ in the living r0Om and
i imagine lil' boys, barefooted, playing gasing on the dirty, sandy, gravelly ground outside their homes..kampung days...
and then, you look back at today's kids gushing over these Beyblades...
mebbe not even knowing tt it's actually gasing..
----and i dunno, it's just weird..the extent of how things have changed.
oh well, i should just stop lamenting.

hmm...hols' are over. and it's back to school.
really, what did i do the whole, damn week, man?
letsseeee...i was sick the first half of the week and i slacked my butt off for the remaining second half of the week.
yeah, think that's it.
anyway...tis just to remind myself, i didn't do a single studying shit. stared and stared
and stared at my books everyday but kept putting it off, cos
1)there was something on the telly 2)i was too drowsy 3) i had to go somewhere ....
haiz...
lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy BuMmmmmm....! someone take a baseball bat and whack me thirteen times on the head. i have to wake up. it's like, what, 50 days from O levels????
and i just wasted one bloomin' week...time that i probably won't get again in the frighteningly-near future leading to the big 'Os'!

oh, well...
on a happier note, i've got Michael Buble's CD and another CD of mixed jazz song$. they're my neighbour's, and up until now, i still can't believe i actually just went up to his house and asked to borrow some
jaZZ.
that's so uncharacteristic of me, really. and to think that we're not really close neighbours. why, he thought i was from UpStaIrs!
but, heh heh..guess i wanted it badly enuff'...
cos yesterday, i passed by his house on the way from the lift, and his door and all the windows were wide open and 'Perhaps,Perhaps,Perhaps' was blasting from the stereo. and i just started aching for jazz. like, really yearning for it. and then i remembered that my absolute all-time favourite G.Benson CD was still with raO.

And i really felt like bawling right there.
it took all of my effort to walk past his house and down the stairs to my house.
and then i discover no one's home, and the house is all silent and gloomily quiet...and it got worse, my Jazz Withdrawal Symptoms..
because why? while i padded around in my living room, i could actually hear my neighbour playing the jazz music.
i rushed to the phone and CommandeD raOdah
to 'don't dare forget to bring my CD tomorrow!' but that still didn't make me feel better.
and so, i was like, what the heck- i'm gonna keel over and die if i don't march up to my neighbour's house and demand some jazz CDs right now-so i went up. to his house.
it was weird, even as i went up the steps, i felt weird. i didn't know much about him. we've never really talked and what if he told me to get lost?

i went anyway.
and guess what?
i said 'Hello? Excuse me?' a few times but he didn't hear me cos he now had rock blasting frm his radiO..So i peered in.
and there he was, my Eurasian neighbour whom i still don't know the name, mopping the floor with his shirt off, chest hair and all. nice.
i wanted to flee becos no, no, shouldn't be doing this, but he was already walking towards me.
and thank God, for he was all kind and smiling...inviting me in to look at his CD collection.
and, wahey...his house is so so nice. nearly everything is off-white n all simple.
and his CD collection...man, t'was awesome...i saw peter malick group, there was...i dunno, some nice looking stuff. and i even saw raihan.
ok, tis guy is interesting.

i borrowed michael buble and tt mixed jazz CD eventually.
but hey, thank God he was nice. i mentioned that he was rajin cos almost everytime he's home, he'll be cleaning the house, taking out all the rugs to dry in the sun and all that. and then, he started rattling bout there being a funny, dusty smell and him having to clean often and stuff...
and i was like, tis guy's rambling.

when i was about to leave, he was like...
he: Well...ah, do come over for tea or something anytime..
me: Oh..ok, sure(i said something like that.)

and then, while i was at the doorway, sliding into my sandals,
he: are you free tonight? after i'm done with all this, maybe...

inside, i was like, what did you say? what?
but hey, don't get me wrong- i didn't think that he was asking me out like asking me out...like a date. i think it was more to..i dunno, hang out?
i mean, please...he's got to be like, what, late twenties...30? cute though. heh.
and i just remembered saying something like, oh, no...i'm going somewhere after this.
i mean, say yes and then, what?
go sumwhere..

anyway, name's Ian. Ian what, i dunno.
and he speaks a bit o' Malay..
